From our beginnings back in 2005 with only one vehicle slowly building up a reputation for a quality and cost effective service to the haulage industry.

With our Scania 420 special edition being  a custom built eight wheel lorry c/w mounted crane with a Fassi F445AXP,this vehicle is the flagship of Hodson Crane Hire.

Our Crane Hire and specialist transport service can offer 8 wheel lorry mounted crane c/w Fassi F455xp. We offer a 24/7 Crane Hire service at extremely competitive rates.

We operate a fleet of vehicles and lifting equipment with experienced, reliable and courteous uniformed drivers who will ensure any operation runs smoothly. Our fleet are kept to the highest of mechanical standards.

We undertake our own in house preventative regular inspections to all of our vehicles fully comply to road vehicle regulations. 

The F455AXP.26 Evolution has continuous rotation and a lifting capacity of 1,895kg at 16.75m. When the L214 fly jib is attached the maximum reach jumps to an impressive 26.75m with a lift of 540kg!

A very useful addition to complement this vehicle we have a Moffet fork lift truck with a lifting capacity of 1.6 tons which is carried on the rear of this vehicle for maximum flexibility on loading / unloading.

The crane is just one part of the build, as this chassis is equipped with 4 hydraulic rams that enables us to lift loads to allow fork lift trucks to unload the larger movements.

  A 6ft hydraulic load bearing rear push out, also complements this chassis all supplied and fitted by The Crane Centre Sandbach Cheshire to our exact specification. This, along with the V20 winch, Kinshofer pole grabs and Kinshofer Pallet forks, makes this a very unique & versatile vehicle.

If its caravan transport, we have a specialist sloper tri axle on air trailers to ensure static caravan movements can be transported professionally and safely your load is moved quickly and efficiently.

We also offer a pre movement site visit to ensure that all logistics can be met and overcome any access issues.

We also have a 6x2 Volvo FM c/w a PM36 ton metre crane lorry with lifting capacity of 6.914 tones @4.41 metres up to 2.355 tones @ 11.61 metres.

Also in the Hodson fleet we have available a wide range of trailers from lowloader, flatbed, curtainsider and a skelatal. A Daf LF 7.5 ton makes up one of the smaller vehicles which gives us full flexibility on vehicle sizes and applications.
